My name is Mark Nightingale and I’m a Multilingual Web Developer and Project Manager, specialising in multilingual projects, based in Strasbourg, France. I have a Masters in Multilingual Web Design, Development and Translation (Master CAWEB) from the University of Strasbourg, one of the first programmes of it’s kind in France. It combines post-graduate studies in Professional Translation and Linguistics with Web Project Management, Design and Development.
I have 4 years experience managing, designing and developing multilingual websites. In addition to delivering more than 20 web projects as a freelancer, I am also an experienced Project Manager having worked for a nationally recognised web agency.
Experienced web project manager
On all my projects, I provide a single point of contact with my customers for all project communication, and I facilitate dynamic exchange with all team members whilst personally guiding my customer throughout the project. Using my experience as a Web Project Manager at a national leader in web design and development, and as a Freelancer, I can ensure that your project will be managed and delivered in an efficient and professional way, and to an excellent standard.
I also provide management consulting and externalisation services to other agencies and businesses in Alsace.
100% Multilingual Web Developer
As a native English speaker, and fluent in French, German and Italian (as well as having a working knowledge of Chinese, and Spanish), I am uniquely placed to be able to effectively and efficiently work on international and multilingual projects. My language knowledge helps me ensure quality translations, an efficient project workflow, and my network of native translators means that all website translations are of the highest quality.
In addition to website translation work, I also provide Freelance professional translation services and language training services to businesses and public institutions.
Alongside my work as a Freelancer, I am an active member of the volunteer sector, on the board of two non-profit organisations: Strasweb, who promote career development for students and young people in the web, and Quai Numéro Dix, the organisation behind the Co-Working space of the same name, which recently opened in the centre of Strasbourg.
