Key Information

2014 marks one hundred years since the beginning of the great war. In order to honour these dark moments in Europe’s history, the Fort de la Pompelle in Reims, Région Champagne, reopened following a refurbishment of the museum interior and displays.

In order to bring this history into the 21st century, the City of Reims decided to develop several multimedia applications alongside the refurbishment of the historical displays :

– 5 interactive touchscreen stations

– An iPad handheld video guide to accompany visitors during their visit.

As Assistant Project Manager at Advisa I successfully lead this multilingual design and development project to completion, managing our internal team and relations with the numerous different actors on the project. All of the different elements of the project were developed to be fully multilingual, with all contents available in English, French or German.

During this project we successfully deployed several new technologies : the touchscreens are entirely coded in HTML5 and Javascript, giving a much more fluid, interactive and natural user experience. The iPad App, designed and developed under my direction by the Advisa team, allows users to navigate the different spaces of the museum, either by following the museum tour, or by scanning QR codes in place in the museum.  The iPad application is also available to download in English, French and German, on the AppStore.
